Hi

I have just signed up to enable me to promote Flt Lt Rachael Cadman from RAF Cranwell. I hope you don't mind and would appreciate you taking a look.

Flt Lt Rachael Cadman is currently attempting to be the first womoan to complete the Arch to Arch challenge. So far she has run from London to Dover (87 miles) has swum the English Channel and tonight will embark on the final push, a cycle ride to Paris, about 180 miles. She is from RAF Cranwell and doing this to raise money for Help for Heroes and Shelterbox.

cheers

Trevor

You've inadvertantly summed up the entire female species there Trevor.

Welcome to the goat!

Dooh!

Hope some of you guys will go and follow her on Twitter, she has a long bike ride ahead of her and it is looking good she will make it. Only 7 men have ever managed it.

Rachael's Progress

Following Flt Lt Rachael Cadman in her attempt to be the first woman ever to complete the Arch to Arc (for Help for Heroes) Rachael has now left on the bike ride to Paris after completing the Channel swim last night and the run from London to Dover the previous day.

Rachael is from RAF Cranwell and would love to have more Twitter followers and support.

Is there some sort of time limit to her worthy endeavour ? Some speed record, perhaps ?

Twitter?. You must be joking; it's all I can do to stand Facebook.
But
If she has a "Just for Giving" account, you might persuade a few goaters to make a modest contribution.
And
perhaps a few more details of her effort might be useful in real English perhaps?).

Hi

I believe the time limits are that Rachael has to start the next challenge within 12 hours of completing the last one.

To make a donation go to - http://www.justgiving.com/rachaelcadman

She is well on her way to Paris now having completed more that 100 miles.

Congratulations Flt Lt Rachael Cadman

Congratulations Flt Lt Rachael Cadman

About 5 minutes ago Flt Lt Rachael Cadman from RAF Cranwell became the first woman ever to complete the Arch to Arc challenge running from London to Dover, swimming the Channel and then cycling to Paris. Only 7 men have ever completed this challenge.

Rachael was doing this to raise money for Help for Heroes and Shelterbox.

She is using just giving to raise money - http://www.justgiving.com/rachaelcadman I think she deserves a couple of £.

BBC Look North are covering the story tonight at 6.30pm (Lincolnshire/Humber)

The challenge was completed in under 4 days 2hrs, well within the 5 days allowed.

great stuff - Thanks

for a more detailed description of what she actually did -

Known as “the most gruelling and most challenging endurance event known to man”, the Arch2Arc Challenge starts in London at Marble Arch, with an 87-mile run to the Dover coast. It’s then into the water for a 22-mile cross channel swim, followed by a 181-mile cycle race to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. In just five days

I won't Hijack your forum any more, but thanks for allowing me to post here. The Arch to Arc is now finished and Rachael has gone off for a meal and a rest.

However if you are interested then go and follow Rachael on Twitter - archtoarc as she is planning to go online one evening and answer questions and chat to her supporters. She will announce when on Twitter.
