Doesn't offend me one bit mate. You'd be surprised how many non-believers like yourself DT_Xtremez_14: are actually serving in HM Forces.....
(do no under estimate the power of the force btw)
Wotcha matey - welcome - you doing a degree??? Have you thought of a commission (if there are any...) as opposed to "support personnel" or ICT tech?

I've got asthma. Can I join the RAF?
* Certain medical conditions rule out RAF service. Applications will be rejected if you suffer or have suffered from asthma in the last four years. However, if you have been diagnosed previously as suffering from asthma but have remained symptom-free for a continuous four-year period, you may be considered for RAF ground service but not aircrew.
Taken straight from the RAF Careers FAQ mate.
As always though, the AFCO are the final arbiters and would be worth a shout
Hi mate welcome to the goat
It seems pretty clear from previous posts that you must have been asthma free for at least 4 years before you will be considered for service.
I would advice you not to apply until you have been asthma free(at least as far as your medical records are concerned) for 4 years.
Others may disagree but i think if you give your name and mention asthma and make make enquirys prior to the 4 year period it will stick to your application when you finally make it like a piece of sh!t.
Best of luck 252
I dont think my asthma will get any better even though i am hitting the gym and jogging regularly, was told my lung capacity is smaller than average.
I will have to talk to them and ask about my options
