Hi, just thought I should introduce myself. I'm technically a student at Harper Adams, but I'm about to start work as an ecology research assistant on placement for a year, and I'm also a wannabe IntO in the RAF. I applied for Fighter Control in 2005 and was rejected at OASC for totally knackering up the interview. Since then I've gone to university, run a uni sports clubs, I'm off travelling round the USA for two months in a weeks time and just generally been trying to correct all the things I was lacking first time round.

In the course of doing all this I have decided that IntO is more my sort of thing than Fighter Control, so I have just started the selection process again. I'll be going into the AFCO this week to get the whole painful thing in motion for when I get back from the US.

Anyway its good to be here and I look forward to incessantly asking questions as I go through selection.

Welcome D&C..(oops). Good on you for sticking with it and making some adjustments to your life before applying again. Hope the interview goes better this time around.

As someone who has to hang around with FC types I can confirm that you are indeed making the right choice, and I haven't even met you!

Seriously though, still take the FC aptitude tests, they are a slightly higher score than most other branches, that way your options are a bit more open.

Enjoy the Goat, dive in and enjoy the lunacy and please have a read at this:
