Ex RAF Vulcan Sooty, explains my user name!
Joined in 1980 101sqn, 50sqn, 16sqn, II(AC)sqn, 9sqn, 13sqn (4 RAFG tours) got redundancy 2006.
Now working in Dubai as a Quality & Safety Engineer on the Royal Flight.

Sounds great. What's it like to live there in terms of cost of living versus the salary you get. I've heard that you need to earn big to maintain a decent standard of living.
