Hi Newbie here

Just a quick introduction.

My name is Stu and im considering joining the reserves, im 36 and at the moment very unfit, but hope to start excercising as of Monday.

I found this site by accident,, but glad i did as im looking for any help and advice.

Welcome to the site...search it carefully as forums for reservists and recruitment exist and hold a wealth of information...good luck with the fitness...start slowly and build it up as at 36 it's not going to be an easy or pain free project!

Thanks i know and trying to give up smoking too, but i have 2 boys who are very young and energetic and they have said they will help me to get fit.

Any suggestions on best places to look for info etc?

without trying to be a pain but is their anyone else in my position that would like to chat or anyone who is in the reserves who would like to chat, as i have a few questions and concerns but am really hoping that this could be my call in life. I have spent most of my life just going through the motions, rubbish jobs etc., i have depression which i feel im dealing with very well, i dont take any medication for it no more, i do have 2 boys aged4 and nearly 6 and this is prop my main concern as cause im separated and dont get to see them much im worried that by joining up might damage this or give the ex more things to fill their minds with that i dont want to see them etc.

so please can anyone help
