I joined in '80 as a DE Sumpy cross trained to Rigger in '88 on joining the SAR world, did a 5 year exchange with the RN as the '848 token crab' and ended up involved to apprenticeships. I left in 2010 and sold my 'expertise' to a certain engine manufacturer before retiring in 2018. I still can't work out how I had the time to hold down a full time job for all those years...
