Hi
My name is Jon i am currently waiting to join the RAF as an Avionics Technician, i have completed all the forms, passed all the tests and have been waiting for a start date since August due to so many applications and not enough places. I was told by the AFCO that most of the trades will re-open in the spring. I have heard a lot in the news recently about cutbacks in the RAF, i was hoping to get people's thoughts on whether they think there will be a serious cutback in the amount of new recruits they take on. I have contacted the AFCO but they have not told me much. So any information on how serving personnel think the current situation will affect recruitment numbers would be appreciated.
Thanks
