The new season fast approaches what hopes for your chosen ones this time?

For Accrington Stanley. At the very best perhaps a league cup run to rival Bradfords effort of last season. Reach the FA cup third round, draw a big premier league club away, be on TV, rake the money in, force a draw and sneak the replay on a foul wet Tuesday in the sleet. In the league a top half finish and really properly stretching it a play off place.

More likely an early exit from the league cup at the hands of some other group of footballing journeymen, followed by a similar story in the FA cup and a league campaign that peters out after Feb as it becomes obvious we are going neither up nor down.

Portsmouth actually get to play a full season without the football league dictating who we can play or not. 55 players wore the blue shirt but very few with pride. As long as we survive the next 3 years in any league I'll be happy. Once the cva has been serviced we can compete on a level playing field.

Sheff Utd, to give David Weir at least 2 seasons to bed in, to let him decide our style of play instead of constant boardroom interference. Start reaping the benefits of a very successful academy and push on out of league one (finally). We desperately need new owners and a fresh direction, for what is genuinely a big club, we are so stuck in the early 90's it's embarrassing.

For Sunderland, a top half finish. I want to see PDC sliding on his knees down the touchline at the Wonga Dome celebrating another 3-0 triumph over the horse punching dirrrrty mags.

Not being knocked out of cups by lower league sides would also be a bonus!

Bloooooooooobirds................. Survival, that is all (2 victories over the Jacks would be an added bonus) :PDT_Xtremez_28:

SuperLeeds...to have the white round thing in contact with the green flat stuff.
I`ve faith that B Mc will achieve this.

Oh, and Ken Bates`s private plane to come a cropper.:PDT_Xtremez_14:

Plymouth Argyle, heart says playoffs, head says mid table obscurity but safe by February. COME ON YOU GREENS.

Hasn't Bates been told he won't be club President come the buyout?

Doncaster Rovers - to be comfortably in the top 10 of the Championship come the end of the season.

Just to get through the season with nobody being bitten, no diving accusations and no racism accusations.::(:

Maybe get a Eurhopeless League place.

Or to get £40 million for him and buy 2/3 players (Soldado) and finish 4th in front of arsenal therefore he only gets one season in the champions league.

So by Mid Sept

League cup -out
Football league Trophy - out
FA Cup - yet to play
League position -92nd out of 92 Played 6, won 0, drawn 1, total points 1

The league campaign might be over long before February as we could be relegated by the new year.:PDT_Xtremez_42:

Hopes and aspirations

We've had quite a positive start with 9 points out if 9 so far. Rodgers has put a decent side together this season and, more importantly, there's a lot of confidence in the players, more so than last season. There still a lot if work ahead and we have real test tomorrow against Swansea and we are far from a finished product but I don't think a European place is out of the question. The aspiration is obviously Champions' League however A European place will do. A good cup run will only build confidence too.
