Justr a thought but before you stuck this on the internet probably only a few knew about it and your chances of getting it were higher...now it's 'on the street' maybe you've scuppered yourself?

I'll take that chance fella, I stuck it on the net as I wanted some gen before I go and apply with no information of what I was getting myself in to!

Hi

Hi

I guess that you are TG3 TG4/11 or whatever they want to call it this week. I spent 3 fab years at Brunssum. Go for it. However be aware that it will probably involve a visit to ISAF. Then again we all have to go there whereever we are posted

why aren't these people in the UK? F***ing waste on money having trade group something serving abroad...................

Toon,

Unfortunately I can't help you on info about Brunnsum itsself or the trade/job, however, I've been in Europe for 18 months now and it's the best thing I have done. Without giving too much away I did 12 months not too far from Brunnsum and 6 months in my current post elsewhere but still in Europe. I love it, if you move away from the Military environment and imbed yourself in the local area it's great fun. You are not too far from anywhere, transport links are great and reasonably cheap and there is plenty to see and do. Some great cities nearby and further afield if you are willing to see Europe and not spend every spare moment wanting to rush back to the UK. I have lots of good things to say about being in Europe, obviously there are negatives aswell as with anywhere but if you would like more information about living in Europe then feel free to PM.

Good Luck with whatever you decide,

Daisy

Thanks to the guys who responded with useful replies!

I have since found someone within my unit who actually working in the same place for a few years and fully agreed with what Daisy is saying! The job looks fantastic as does the lifestyle so think I will be going for it! (Has to beat where im working at the moment anyway! and will be a nice break from working for the mrs!)

Cheers guys

I was at AFCent 95-98. Cracking posting, lived in Heereln. Very nice place. good for travel and the locals were great. Probably the best posting I did.
