Good day all
I am Peter van Rensburg. I have been in aircraft maintenance since 1983, although I have tested/tasted the waters in oil refinery, hardware store, farming and electronics R&D.
I am South African and started my career in the SA Air Force initially on Canberra (B57) bombers, but later settled on C130 Hercules. During a second jaunt in the military I worked Aermacchi MB326M & KC aircraft.
I got into commercial aviation maintenance working L100/L382, Boeing 727/737 & MD80 aircraft. Most recently, I have been working for the Saudi Air Force in Jeddah, where I am the Engine Test Cell shop chief. We fully test the RR/Allison T56-A-15 & 501-D22A engines, as well as the GTC's and APU's
