Last Tuesday night, I tried to recreate Das Boot using my car, and have bu^^ered the engine, due to the full comp insurance I should be able to get back about £1500.

The car I had was a Peugeot 406 HDI, which was very comfy.

So what I want to know is anyone out there selling a Diesel car for around £2000 - £2500, I am not too fussed about collecting it. But it must have a min of 6mths MOT and some road tax too, not fussed about how long on that one.

I am just south of Swindon, and if anyone has one in good condition PM me the gen and I will get in touch.

Should add, I have looked on the Auto trader webby, but the cars on there are either cr^p or over priced, insome cases by a grand:PDT_Xtremez_41:

I have a 15 year old corolla I'd be willing to sell you for between £2000-2500. Long MOT and only 160,000 genuine miles....up to you.

Pity you ain't up this end i've a Xsara deisel going for £1000 with 5 months tax and a brand new MOT...has a bit of mileage but still good for another 90k as it's been well looked after...regular oil changes and servicing and still has lots of life left in her........
