Is it my imagination or do our Air Traffic brethren appear quiite hostile? Not content with teasing TG12, they turn on each other to. Maybe too many years of constantly announcing 'Sir/Ma'am, It's for you (the phone that is)', is causing them some distress. Or perhaps it's the added pressure of handing over aircraft on behalf of the controller that's causing stress levels to rise. Nay, I'm wrong on both counts ............. it's the damn bird scaring that must be driving them 'quackers'.

I'll get me coat.

Oh grief, fishing again?

Is that your best shot , you will have to do much better than that!:p

Time for a beer and two weeks off, keep watching that Space Junk.........

.......I'll be thinking of you................not!:D

Obviously I don't need to embellish upon my first post! Thanx for proving me right.

At least we can work a phone, and you have to be able to "control" aircraft in order to hand them over, not just play about with them over the North sea and freecall them before they get near anything dangerous :p

That will be because air tragic are paid to deal with transits, whereas we are employed to manage the punchy stuff. The North Sea is only a portion of our areas of activity. :D

....ahhh! I remember now....you're the chaps who always get in the way of the real traffic being controlled by (real) Area Controllers. Yes, it all comes flooding back now...D-School, Neat..., just thought you guys were flight monitors while you were busy having Air Misses??:p
