Tell her your going for a pint.
Drive her car round the block and park it a few streets away.

Go and neck a couple, then come home and ask her where her car is.................!

Yes I know. I'm a barsteward.:PDT_Xtremez_31:

How long (in seconds) do you intend to slow any car thief down by?

Note how the manufacturer has conveniently left the lock on the upper side of the device thus allowing easy access for a slide hammer/puller.

Does anyone really use these devices? I've got various car locks in the garage, never used them though!:PDT_Xtremez_14:

As always with car theft detterent devices it is about making the job slightly more difficult.

2 vehicles, one with and one without an easy to slide hammer off security device which are otherwise perfectly acceptable to the car thief, they will nick the one without every time.

It is not about making your car impossible to steal, it is about making it more effort than nicking somebody elses (like yours)

People with very nickable cars like me learnt this years ago, and we take advantage of people like you who know better.

Just long enough for the alarm to go off. The lights start flashing, and the little toerag to panic as they don't like being spotted/tw@tted!

And you brought her that for Christmas and are still alive to tell the tale! Have you been married for over 30 years to get away with that?
