How are people prioritised for JMLC's; I know they are for all trades, but for persons promoted from the same trade is it on what number you came on the board, time served, time left or from who starts acting rank first?

Also, i have read the official line on the manning FAQ's, but are people still getting offered they 22yr after completion of their courses; i have heard that a lot of techies are still waiting on offers?

I don't know if this helps but i did my IMLC just before xmas.On completion of it & checking JPA showed I completed the course I contacted engagements at manning (check their website) directly via email, got a fantastic response from a civilian lady who faxed my LOS30 offer straight to PSF,it was actioned, signed and returned within a week.It can be done, with a little digging yourself!!

You may try and contatc JMLC themselves and ask if they can put you on a reserv list, and if they get a canx they may add you to the list. The only problem is it may be short notice. But not sure if they are still doing this.

I think when it comes to the offer of further service it depends on your trade. I'm a techie and when i completed JMLC i also had to complete TMT before becoming substansive and getting my 22yr offer.

This was still the case for a friend who enquired about this very subject and completed JMLC before christmas - he is still waiting for a TMT date and therefore waiting for his offer of further service.

I think bubblebutt's suggestion is well worth looking into though

Hope this helps:PDT_Xtremez_30:

Yes,apologies for that.I should have said TMT needs doing as well as JMLC before you become full not acting rank.Goodluck.

Completed JMLC and TMT by September last year and offer of 22 was signed up and on JPA first day back after Xmas, just dig with the right people - or use your SNCO, thats what (s)he's for! :PDT_Xtremez_30:

If i recall correctly the automatic offer of service to 22yrs on promotion was stopped and you now have to apply for it after completion of TMT and JMLC via gen ap. a number of people I know fell foul of this and despite being picked up close to their 12yr point they did not apply for extension because they were not told they needed to. another case of PSF not sharing useful information. a couple left it to late to apply and now have far better jobs in civvie street. This change in policy occured the same time that they stopped sending you a nice little blue letter from manning congratulating you on your selection for promotion.

Where did you come up with that bollocks? :PDT_Xtremez_31:

I haven't heard of anyone having to apply for 22 only hasten an offer that should be incoming at some point. Change of Engagement prioritise the offers according to if someone is time short and sometimes there may be one that slips through because their med cat has been incorrectly recorded so the offer isnt released.

Utter tripe mate sorry :PDT_Xtremez_14:

There's a monthly bulletin that comes out from Manning, used to be called The Chf Clk's bulletin. There's a section in there, with a contact number, who you can call to chase up your offer of re-engagement if you have completed your CMT (TMT and J/I/A/MLC) and have yet to receive the offer.

As said by BB, the lady who works there is extremely helpful.

Your Trade desk allocates the relevant CMT courses, so give them a call if you're still waiting on course dates. If you're a JNCO or below get your Apollo CA to give them a call on your behalf. :PDT_Xtremez_14:

I suspect both JMLC and IMLC slots are allocated according to how much unexpired service you have. ie a newly promoted Cpl with 12 months to serve will be a higher priority than a newly promoted Cpl with 3 years to go.

As for the "You have to apply for 22/LOS 30" - Complete & Utter bollox.
Yesterday I received a LOS 30 offer for one of my SNCO A Tech AV's. He's turned it down, which is living proof that you do not apply for 22/30.
