Hi guys

Can anyone help me out with job specs and how they are staffed? Once they have been written and endorsed by line mgt, what happens to them next? Do they go the same route as other establishment amendment requests, or something different? I can't find a BPG on JPA for them. I have been told to just give them to the unit estab administrator, but surely the desk officer/manning would have some say in them...? Thanks in advance!

If you're talking SJAR job specs then they are written by the 1st RO in agreement with your local management then sent of to admin for ammendment to the JPA details.

That's what we do here anyway.

No mate, I think you mean job/post responsibilities. Job specs are a more formal form and include things like post rotation, sy clearance, tour length, job description and formal handover period etc.

You will need to submit an EAF to RMC (if they are still called that) at HQ AC. The EAF staffing depends exactly on what you are trying to amend.

Thanks for the info - I was hoping to avoid the EAF route as mine is a pain in the proverbial, but hey ho. Some of our posts are rotational while others are either one of the 3 services, therefore I have to staff EAFs through CTLB at Main Building and they insist on a full business case for even the most minor of changes. Best I get my nose to the grindstone! Cheers

Not seen job specs for many a year. Why are you still doing them? They were something the desk officers used in a bygone era - well pre-JPA.

Sorry mate but the JPA Form 1 EAF is the only way to go.
