Can anyone shed any light on this? I put a caim in at about 1am tuesday morning for I.E and subsistance. I checked my JPA yesterday and it said the payment status was "paid" as of 14:35 yesterday but as yet there is no sign of the money in my account. Is this normal or has something gone wrong somewhere along the way? I am aware it can take a few days for the payments to come through but I was under the impression that when it said "paid" the cash would be in your account.
Cheers.

They pay it in through BACS the same way your pay goes. BACS 'sit on it' for a day or two and through sneaky accounting tactics earn money off it (interest on funds they hold).....
Thats how it was explained to me once, by a banker. Never trusted him really!

I usually have a wait of a day or two before a JPA claim payment makes it's appearance in my account when it's gone to the "Paid" status. It's a bit like making a bank transfer to an account that's with a different bank - it'll vanish from one account almost immediately, but not appear in the other account for a few days. :PDT_Xtremez_41:

Cool, cheers everyone! That makes me feel a bit better (apart from the part about some (w/b)anker making profit off my cash), as long as it arrives in time for the weekend so I can lovingly handcarve it into a large hangover and some regret.:PDT_Xtremez_30:
