I have just found out that I have been overpaid for the last 12 months.

The crux of the matter is, I was raised an increment in Nov 06 (in error), and then again in April 07 (my IBD date).

Obviousley, I am now about to start paying back the monies that I owe.

The question is, who can I speak to, to voice my unhappyness? And what sort of outcome can I expect?

Not being funny, but you will only get told that you should check your pay statement every month!! Is it a JPA error? If so then I'd speak to your PSF/HR and tell them you wish to make a complaint and see where you go from there?!?!?!

WTF ....Oi you are in the Air Force not the Fair Force. Just be glad that they overpaid.........You were lucky. The crewroom is the place for you to voice your unhappiness and feel free to do so where upon the outcome you can expect is a load of abuse( thats if it's a proper crewroom).

Your next step is to present yourself to PSF with cap in hand and apologise for not being able to understand all the Nonpas/public debt/non public debt tax realignment/number I first thought of/ abated food etc etc entries on your pay statement.

OH AND DON'T LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN::/:

I have a feeling that your unhappiness is of little importance to our lords and masters but I think that you should be able to voice your concern so that it doesn't happen again to someone else. I think that the contact point is that i support section on JPA I'm sure that there's a scribbly/shiney type that'll help with some contructive criticism if they can.

Samaritans?

You can voice your unhappyness to the Chf Clk and also lodge an appeal against the recovery however it sounds similar to one of the guys I look after and their's wasn't successful

Unfortunately, MBH, if you complain you will only be told that you should have examined your pay statement more carefully and known that you were overpaid last year.

You cannot appeal against a recovery using 'good faith' as an argument any longer; the only grounds by which you may stand a chance are 'change of position' and 'estoppel'. In essence these are legal speak for "I believed I was entitled to receive that money so I spent it on a new car".

Sorry we can't be more supportive but I think most of us are spending too much time trying to sort out the underpaid to have a lot of sympathy for those "lucky" enough to have been overpaid.

I'm with you on this one, they take money that isn't theirs and give it back when it suits, now they've noticed you have too much they get their act together?? Nahh, they're n0bbers.

In civvie street, they prevent these mistakes from happening again and again by changing the system to prevent it (because they can't take your legal entitled money). The raf just takes it back, n0bs. If it cost them money every time psf or jpac fecked up, jpa would have come in 10 years ago, and worked perfect on the second day.
