Morning all,

had a day out yesterday, cost me a fortune, just wondering, what can i claim back thru JPA?

Details as follows -

MT Car (self drive) for journey to hospital
Breakfast and lunch were on the motorway
Had to pay £7.50 in parking charges

In the olds days of F1771, i seem to remeber that there was a milage allowance for driving a service vehicle, is this still the case? Which milage stuff should i be claiming?

Many thanks in advance

MBH, I hope that you kept your receipts for starters as you will be able to claim back your meals and parking charges, additionally if you live in you can claim back your missed meals as well.

If driving a service wagon there is no entitlement to any mileage, only get that for driving your own wagon after MT has approved that you do so.

Log on and start claiming

You CAN get something for driving a service vehicle IF the journey was more than 5 hours. Or was that in pre-JPA days. You used to get a "Rate 5" or a "Rate 10" if the journey was over those hours limits. Must be getting old

We don't get these rates anymore.

I don't think you are entiltled to breakfast as you are expected to eat in the mess before you set off.

There is no mileage allowance for driving MT.

On that basis you should have been allowed an overnight stay at a forces base near to the hospital. You could then have claimed up to £5 for incidentals (unreceipted)
