Thanks Lovetoad, same sentiment here about Broon too but you never know, just need another win now, home this weekend.

Keep spreading the news

What's it got to do with Gordon Brown? It's a fooball administration matter. The minute that politicians begin sticking their noses into areas that they don't belong will be a sad day.

Accept the punishment and move on.

I agree. Its got eff all to do with the government. The Leeds chairman new the rules before he put the club into liquidation.
Live with it.

Leeds declared they were going into administration straight after they were confirmed relegated from the league, thus meaning the mandatory 10 point deduction that is in the rules for clubs entering administration had ni impact on them whatsoever. That followed by (allegedly) some really dodgy business dealings when the club was sold . I think the 15 point deduction was totally appropriate in this case.

Any other business that got itself into a financial mess would most likely fold and dissapear without a trace, unless of course you happen to be Northern Rock. Why do football clubs seem to get away with murder when it comes to debts and administration? And before anybody says a thing, I agree that Ipswich got away with pretty similar financial mismanagement.

Get Gordon to help LUFC please

As a Carlisle Utd fan, I think it would be great if Mr Broon spoke up for Leeds, as I am sure he would c*ck it up for them, just has he has with everything else he has done since he took over his unelected position.

I have no sympathy for Leeds, they are perhaps the most hated club in the country. And why has this petition only come about towards the end of the season when automatic promotion looks slim, instead of early in the season when they thought they'd walk the league even with the 15-point deduction?

Oh, I think I just answered my own question there...

As a Donny Rovers fan and with us still standing a chance of automatic promotion, Leeds fans, shove it! :PDT_Xtremez_25:

Don't understand why it's taking to the end of the season to make a decision. The FA should have done any homework needed on it already and it should be thrown out quickly!

The 'mighty' whites are currently 2-0 down at home in the 1st leg of the play offs. Enjoy another season in the 1st Div!!!! :PDT_Xtremez_31::PDT_Xtremez_31::PDT_Xtremez_31::PDT_Xtremez_31:

Leeds will get no sympathy from me. The only people I feel sorry for is those who lost thousands when the club went into Administration only hours after Bates stated they would not do so.

They have the most obnoxious chairman in the entire league, who tried to screw everyone over for maximum personal financial gain. Prior to him they had the most inept chairman who was really good at spending other people's money on living the dream, but scarpered the minute he may have been tapped for some of his own personal cash to bail them out.

They appointed Wise as manager - probably the 2nd most hated footballer after Vinny Jones (but he played for Leeds IIRC!).

They have a "We're to big for this league" attitude - even in the Championship when they thought they'd walk the play-off final against Watford two years' ago.

Enjoy your trip to Leicester next year Leeds as its the only big stadium you'll be visiting in a while.

Would you like some ketchup on those words you now have to eat?

Carlisle 0 (2) v 2 (3) Leeds.

And the Carlisle fans are storming the pitch...

There's a game at Wembley yet before Leeds can realise the dream of trips to Blackpool, Barnsley, Plymouth and Burnley.

Still all this jealousy from the non Leeds Fans!!!!

-15 points and still in for it....bitterness can be served right back at you.

We've got a lot further than you all imagined when all the other biggots agreed to the minus 15 points. I have Forest fans wanting Leeds to win, much better playing us than at Donny next season.

Regardless of the outcome of the points issue, we are still in it and my dad's better than youre dad etc etc

Come on the Whites and good luck also to Donny, should be a good Yorkshire scrap!!!

We'll see on Sunday, my Leeds flag already flying at home!!!

Have got our tickets for Wembley and looking forward to the game on Sunday.....and hopefully promotion!!!

Que sera sera....however, if the worst does happen and we do have to remain in the tinpot league for another season, at least we will still get the crowds that many premiership and championship clubs can only dream of!!!!

We're not famous anymore.....dream on! No one likes....we don't care!

Marching on Together with 50,000 plus other whites at Wembley...any other E-goaters going?

Can't make it as having big BBQ!!! WE ARRANGED DATE AGES AGO!! still, flag is up and the lads will be glued to the tv whilst the lasses drink vino outside

Know how you feel re missing the big match as similar happened to me when the mighty whites went to Cardiff to play Watford for Championship play off. Looking at the fixtures a year earlier we had planned to go on holiday the week before the scheduled play off final date (subject to qualification at that time) and booked accordingly......the Football league then went and brought that fixture forward a week during the season to the weekend when on holiday. However, despite the fact that Leeds did not turn up in Cardiff and lost, I did spend the day in a local Madeiran pub watching the match with one Don Revie's greats......Paul Reeney!!! Could not believe it when he walked into the pub, he too had booked a holiday believing the play off final would be the week later. Needless to say we spent the game talking about his career at Leeds, Don Revie, his colleagues and those "Glory Years"!!!!

Enjoy your BBQ and keep the White Flag flying high!!

MOT!!

Good luck Leeds today, hope we beat Donnie, dirty southerners. Well relatively anyway! Deserve to win for us fans, lets just hope the managment die of heart attacks on route to the game huh?
