I am stupid enough to be running the marathon on the 25 Apr for H4H. The wife and 2 kids want to come and cheer me on/watch me die. Does anyone know whether our green cousins have such things as family accom in their messes?
Thanks.

Not sure about the base accomodation however your best bet will probably be the Union Jack club. They have some nice large family apartments at good prices.

Enjoy your jog

My fella did the run a few years ago and we all went down and stayed in the Premier Inn near Euston underground stn. Was very reasonable and easy enough to get to the start of the race from there. They also did early breakfasts that day especially for the occasion.

Emjoy the weekend mate... dont know if it's the first time you have done it but the atmosphere in London that weekend is amazing.... reccommend you take some tissues for the wife as when she starts reading the big wall where you go to register on the saturday the tears will be flowing!....

If your after sponsorship why not set up a link to your online sponsor form on here?? There's some really generous lads/lasses on here who might throw you a couple of quid.

Good luck mate. :PDT_Xtremez_19:

Not sure if this is still availavble. Couple of years ago I returned from France and asked the Mess at Woolwich if they had rooms in the Mess for me and the family overnight, low and behold a family wing in the Sgt's Mess. Cost was not a lot but had to ask the CMC for permission but he was more than happy to host a blue job. Worth a call around the other camps in the London area, you might be surprised

Stayed at Victory Services Club recently & was really impressed. Never gave them a second thought (even after 20 odd years), but can highly recommend it.
