OK, I know that TV ploughs a lot of cash into football these days and we should expect them to call the tune sometimes.
But sending Portsmouth to Newcastle, the longest away trip in the prem, on a Monday night is really taking the p1ss. Anyone traveling to that game has to take Monday off and Tuesday as well unless they can work having got back home at 5am or whatever. Bl00dy ridiculous and shows utter contempt for the fans who actually go to the games.

You expect Rupert Murdoch and his SKY empire to have any concern at all at what you the, go to matches, football fan actually wants. Sadly top level football these days is run by and for the sole benefit of the money men.

Yep, got to agree with you there. I believe it was setanta though - are they part of murdoch's empire? I didn't think so but stand by to be corrected.

My bold - something the saints won't have to worry about for a while! :PDT_Xtremez_30:

You are correct my error it was setanta for the newcastle game. My view of the Murdoch empire remains unchanged though.

I totally agree PSBM, Setanta have switched Sunderland's last away match from Sat 16 May to Mon 18 May at 8PM. They announced it after most of the fans had booked and paid for their travel and hotels on the Saturday - Niall Quin was not impressed. Mind you, the way we played against the Baggies last week it could be our last away match in the Premier league for some time.
