I need some help finding the regulations for reimbursement when personnel have to fork out for new personal effects when they turn up in theatre and their luggage doesn't.

I would be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction!

I think you may be best off speaking to clothing stores to be honest. I'll have an ask around !

I believe that the information, and form, you seek are in JSP 800...speak to the Movers, they will help you out.:PDT_Xtremez_17:

Thanks for the help, my local civilian storesman (Logistics Resources) knew exactly where I needed to look.

He couldn't give me any shoelaces though.

Mate that's what you have personal kit insurance for. You wont be able to claim costs back from the military.

I've got personal kit insurance.

I was just doing my Human Resources, Personnel Administration, P & A Clerk, Writer, Scribbly, Shiny thing for someone who doesn't have kit insurance.

You can actually claim from the military when it is their fault...:PDT_Xtremez_15: You do not need kit insurance to claim from them neither...JSP 800 has it all.

(Edit)
A snippet:

2.2.7.025. Claim Procedures. Where loss or damage to baggage is clearly the fault of the MoD, passengers may submit a claim within one month of the incident on MoD Form 441 to the Budget Manager, HQ 2Gp, RAF High Wycombe. If a Form 441 is issued by Movements Staff, it is to be registered and cross-referred to any existing lost baggage messages before handing to the claimant.
