For all you E-Goat Tractor Boys out there - and there are a few - Magilton's been sacked.

Having watched the debacle that was the home defeat to Doncaster, it was only a matter of time.

Think ME waited for Clegg's appointment yesterday to grow a set and finally appease the fans.

So who next - am sure Clegg's got someone lined up already - and what now for the 13 out of contract players?

A championship manager who didn't take the team to the promised land of the premiership loses his job. Sadly only three teams can go up so that leaves lots of teams regardless of cash or talent that won't. Harsh realities of the football BUSINESS unfortunately.

He managed to rinse the Vermin!!!!!!! what we have now is the death of the respected family club that was Ipswich Town and the rise of yet another get us where we want to be now or else club! when it goes wrong it goes horribly wrong! see Leeds, Charlton, Leicester, Southampton and the Vermin (hopefully). We never used to sack managers and now we are falling into the same trap as so many others. The fans need to be realistic, we are not a big club and if our aspirations are just to make up the numbers in a league we cant win, we should stay here! we will win more matches in the championship football has been fcuked up by money!!!!! as for the next 'aunt Sally' in the hot seat? Hoddle? I Might just buy a season ticket!!!!!:PDT_Xtremez_19: Keane? I dont want that ex-Man U thug anywhere near my club!!!!!!:PDT_Xtremez_09:

It's just been announced on BBC Breakfast that Keane has been appointed and will be in charge for the match against Cardiff at the weekend!!

Bloody hell give the guy a chance! He may not be a perfect person but he a passion for the game not matched by many!

I'm sorry but I believe that anyone who in the name of sport allows his 'passion' to permit him to commit some of the fouls he did, including the intentional damage he did to another Pro who's career he finished then bragging about it in his book should never be given another position within the game:PDT_Xtremez_09:

I agree 100%. I always thought of Ipswich as a really friendly club which always played decent football.. Now under Keane they'll become spoilers with an edge of spite. There is no place in football for arrogant tossers like him!

Echo Gem and theladf's comments about Keane. He's a thug and a man who holds a grudge. For me he should have no place at a decent club like Ipswich. Now if he went to Burnley that would be funny.

Keane is still a ****** though and brings shame to your club...

So far so good!

At least the players know they need to buck their ideas up under Keane or they'll be shown the door.

Too many hangers on and mates playing under the Magilton regime.

Full house next Sunday and hopefully another 3 goals plus 3 wins on the spin - a while since we've been able to say that.

Best of luck with a club controlled by Keane.

Some things that I think might happen:

Good things:
  • He will bring discipline to the club
  • He will attract players to the club
  • He should do well enough to get Ipswich promoted
  • He will (if given the chance) spend a lot of money

Bad things:
  • He will upset some players at the club
  • He will attract some sh1te players to the club
  • He will be found out that he is tactically inept, and not good enough to manage a team in the Prem and do well
  • He will (if given the chance) blow a lot of money on crap players that will only ever get a game for the reserves (or go out on loan)

This and more happened when he was with us at Sunderland. The Championship is about his level at the minute, and you should see Ipswich in the Prem in 2010/2011 season. However as soon as it all starts to go slightly wrong, a few bad results, the fans will not give him the support he needs (perhaps unfairly) and as such he will think the fans don't deserve him, and that is when it's time for him to say goodbye.

PS. I hope he returns to the Stadium of Light to take away some of the ****e he brought... O'Donovan, Anderson, Mcshane, Chopra, Stokes, Healy, Murphy and Edwards. Please leave and firmly close the door beind you. Thank you.

When I first heard that Keane had the job my thoughts were these , Ipswich will spend millions and millions and get to the premiere league. That sounds reasonable.

Its also likley that we will have a squad of 45 also ran premiership players and their wage bills and find ourselves in the bottom three in his second or third season.

For a club that used to have such a strong youth system the unsustainable management style of Keane is one that I dred. I am not bothered by his hissing fits and media moans.
