Not necessary bound to the catering gods, but to anyone who has an inkling.

Long story very short is that we are apparently going to have a steady stream of various personnel in for training courses (approx week at a time).

No idea at present where they will be accommodated, but severe lack here at that base near a cathedral suggests elsewhere or hotel accommodation - but that's not my problem.

Long training days with few breaks have led to a request to investigate packed meals for hostage audience, but is there an entitlement?, bearing in mind that we don't know if they will be in military accommodation or hotacc.

If in a hotel - normally they are told to get on with it and bring a sandwich in with them and claim for it later.

If in military accommodation they can eat in the mess and put them in temporary accommodation on JPA for their time here. Obviously also aware of using the F7030A for requests so they can get their packed lunch.

No idea how the magical art of catering deals with this, but obviously someone, somewhere has to pay and these guys need to eat. (be it packed meal or sort themselves out)

So I ask then - does anyone know the actual score or is it all just made up as you go along?

Cheers in advance

The non-availability of accommodation certificate has to state no accommodation and no messing is available to claim a hotel and subsistence.

If messing is available they have to eat in the mess, if they can't because of timings then packed meals will be the entitlement.

none?

none?

I thought the entitlement to food had all gone other than senior ranks entertaining.
if they eat in the mess they have to pay surely?
I know courses I have done recently meant I had to pay for the mess and the lads have to pay for their meals when they eat in the mess.

not sure if lectures/type meetings are different?

Accommodated in HOTAC on B&B.

Lunch in Mess - Buy a Meal Ticket.

Dinner in Mess - Buy a Meal Ticket.

Simples!
