I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to get the RAF to pay to put me through my minibus license, the only reason i want it is to provide adventure training days for them and so I don't either have to rely on an old sweat with a pre 97 license to drive or getting an MT driver, i've tried asking my warrant if there are any available post numbers he can put me against that require it but this doesn't seem possible seeing as we don't even have a minibus on the squadron. I've spoke to TDF but they like everyone are having there budgets slashed so can't be of assistance, anyone got any ideas?

If your AT qualified have you tried speaking to your friendly muscle mechanics? Not sure whether they can help, but if you're running expeds for them then got to be worth a try

If you want to get minibus trained through the mob it'll need to be on your PIC - or you'll be paying it yourself. Not knowing your individual situation maybe the Warrant can get it put onto your PIC if you're willing to do the AT thing?

I can confirm that TDF won't pay for it unless it's on your post list.

Have you tried presenting your case to the station budget manager? They seem told the purse strings at the moment regardless of section budgets.
