I understand it to be 12 months for JNCO and below and 18 for SNCO upwards, Is that correct?

Does anyone have any experience of manning allowing a move below those timescales?

Both losing and gaining section WO's will be happy with the move so do I have a prayer do you think? Can't use the apollo facility as I am away from my unit for a while.

ACOS instructions say 18 months, with a move at 12 months granted with permission from your Commanding Officer (usually delegated to Sqn Ldr). However Manning have the final say and will consider X levels, operational requirement etc.

Fact is a FS mate of mine moved after just 8 months in post....it really does depends on the circumstances.

Service need or what mood your CM is in....:PDT_Xtremez_30:is a big factor! LOL

Good luck

As an SAC I moved after 8 months. Had one of those old fashioned posting notes after 6months. This move was mainly a service need but benefitted me too! So happy days if it suits all parties.

I moved after 6 months in post but it was on promotion so can't complain too much ! :PDT_Xtremez_06:

I've had 2 moves as a SNCO below 18 months.

14 months in Cyprus followed by 12 months at Wyton.

First move on promotion, second cos I hated the sh1thole (luckily I found someone who wanted my job but took alot of wrangling with Manning to sort it out).
