Minimum time in post

Any one know what the minimum time in post is till you can get posted on?

Just been posted in to a new place about 6 months ago and was promoted last month. I don't mind the job and the guys it's just the area is absolute sh!te!!

How long before I can put in for a new posting?

I wait to be corrected, but I believe it is 18 months in post until manning will consider a move.

A guy from our place was posted on promotion and managed to spend less than a month at his new place before managing to get posted back onto the squadron.

Wouldn't mind but I've been trying to escape for years!

Most of us know someone who managed to 'escape' before the minimum time.....
