What song lyrics have you completely mis-heard, or what are your favourite manglings of song lyrics. I'm sure most of us have heard...

"My Ears Are Alight" by Desmond Dekker or
"You Can Go and Get Stuffed" by Billy Ocean

And there was a song by Gala called Freed from Desire in which I could have sworn the words were..

"My love has got no money, He's got his trumbelice."

Unable to figure out what the hell a trumbelice was, it came as no surprise to learn that her love did in fact have "his strong beliefs" :PDT_Xtremez_14:

Anyone got any more?

Unfortunately I have to say yes and it's so pathetic even now I have no idea how I misheard it

Outkast's Miss Jackson lyric "I'm sorry Ms Jackson - I am for real" fos some reason translated into my singing "A soft british accent - I am for real"!!!

Even worse it's because I figured that the singer was from Britain and was trying to prove a point!!:PDT_Xtremez_35:

Yet again I hang my head and faulty ears in shame

"Touch my wart, with your fingertips" - Queen, Who Wants To Live Forever (its actually "touch my WORLD). Also there's the famous hymn about a teddy-bear who is tragically bossed-eyed "Gladly The Cross-Eyed Bear"! Alright, alright, its late and I've been drinking, I thought it was funny!

I concur on the Gala front psbm, I was always curious as to why her lover had trampolines!?

There was the eric pridz song, call on me.

when the song goes, "i am the same boy I used to be"
It sounded like "I am saving for a new settee"

Queen "Beelzebub has a devil for a sideboard"
Bloody Jasper Carrot. Even now I still hear Freddy singing that ! :PDT_Xtremez_31:

SB jnr 3 years old, Chilli peppers - By the way. (We watched a LOT of Kerrang and Scuzz)

Standing in line

To see the show tonight

And theres a light on

Kevin -o.

It surprised me as I'm not a big fan of the Chillis's, but he used to sing this in the shower..... cute as a utton

that well known oldie but goldie.... 'Poetry in motion' by Johnnie Tillotson for some reason became 'oh a tree in motion' and...

"I can see Deidre now Lorraine has gone...."

I don't have a bloody clue what song it is, but there's this woman who goes Gobber Gobber Gobber or something like that, and to me it always sounds like she's going "Gobble Gobble Gobble"! :PDT_Xtremez_42:

Maybe one of you Musician types could enlighten me on what song it is and who it is done by? :PDT_Xtremez_28:

Amerie - one thing, i always thought she went gobble gobble gobble the first few times i heard it.

Glad to hear it's not just me then that thought she was Gobbling mad. :PDT_Xtremez_17:

Opening line to Endless Love (Lionel Richie + ...?)

Tonight, I sellotape my glove to you

(Tonight, I celebrate my love for you)

My favourite has to be "Message In A Bottle" by The Police:

"A year has passed since I broke my knob...."

And honourable mention has to go to the Righteous Brothers "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" - Have a listen to the middle section and they definately sing:

"I drank your p*ss...."

Macy Gray, "I Try".

She sounds like she's singing "I wore goggles when you were not here".

(My world crumbles when you are not here)

Madonna been to Laarbruch?

Madonna been to Laarbruch?

In La isla Bonita does Madge sing "Last night I had an Alpago" ?
Or have I got it wrong again?! :PDT_Xtremez_31:

I like the classic "Drop a gooly" in Madonna's La Isla Bonita, and "I am a dog-turd" in Supergrass' Sun Hits The Sky!
