Morning all. Just arrived with my arrivals card - do people still do that nowadays? Trudging around to get a signature, would like to think it's all done on line in todays modern age.

Good Morning to you Photobilland welcome

....I hope you've got yer best Blues on too?

I rudely assume your name gives your old trade away - as does mine. I hope you find some old mates on here too. Fill yer boots with any conversation you'd like to stick your Oar into but most of all - don't just sit there and read - join in.

When I left Lyneham I filled half of the insignificant rubbished myself and of the HQSTC I went! 3 years later got posted back to Lyneham and did the arrival trudge. Lots of bemused looks in some areas as according to them I'd never left! :PDT_Xtremez_14:

I took my arrival card on the rounds at RAF Northolt together with my 'Temporary Clearance Card' as I was going straight on to a seven month course at another station.

The nice lady at the library signed my Arrival Card and welcomed me to Northolt. I then gave her my Temporary Clearance Card at which she said
“Just a minute I have to check your records to make sure that you haven’t any books out”.

“But you have just signed my Arrival Card, how could I have any books out?”!

Her answer will not surprise anyone, “It’s standard procedure, I have to do it”.:monkey:
