Fellow goaters,

I'm having to permanently move into the block. What is the deal with changing address?

I'm thinking along the lines of Driving Licence, Bank Accounts and the like.

Do I just put down my work address?
How do I prove where I am living?

Sorry if this is a bit vague/noddy but it's the first time I've ever lived in in 11 yrs of service so it's all a bit weird to me.

Thanks in advance for any info.

I agree, use your work address.
As even if you put the block name your post will still go to your place of work.

Got to be your work address, the on station postman pat lookalike doesn't usually go to the barrack blocks.

I realise that for mail delivery, it is my work address but what about proving where I live? Do I just put down the station as a general address?

I always used my parents address for my driving license and bank account due to moving around so much. But everything else was work address.

If you put down the postcode for your camp, all that will come up on any system is RAF XXXXXXX. It doesn't matter what address you have, e.g Cpl Bloggs, GRMS, RAF XXXX, AA1 2ZZ.

I never had a problem with it,All my bills went to for example,

SAC M******* * *
Station Armoury,
RAF Bruggen
BFPO 25

As for proving your identity the was no real issues for credit cards, banks home shopping ect.

The address for your car insurance worth looking at. The secret west midlands training unit has a postcode that is a bit of flag to the insurers. To many boy racers racking up points and accidents makes the postcode an expensive "area" to live in. Even when I was a KOS snec with years of no claims, no points, over 40 etc etc using my parents home address was still cheaper. Not sure how legal that would be these days though.

Naughty...
