Have just returned from Wembley Stadium where I was this evening with wgaf watching Muse.
That band really know how to put on a live show, Huge video screens, fireworks, massive balloons it was epic.
From their entrance right the way through to their last song, they kept the crowd thoroughly entertained.

It was the first ever concert for my daughter and wgaf's son, and they both said they really enjoyed it too.
We watched from the very back of the impressive new stadium and it was a good vantage point for taking in all that was going on, althought the guys on stage looked tiny from that distance.

Tomorrow I am back to Wembley again for my second dose of Muse, this time from pitch level, so I am sure I will get a whole different perspective of the show.

Anybody else seeing muse this weekend?

Yes fella I was there. Made the mistake of getting in earlyish to see the support acts. I really really really wish I hadnt bothered. But then just as I was losing the will to live, Muse brought me back to life. Absolutely fooking awesome.

Whereabouts were you guys?

wgaf and myself were right at the back of the stands almost as far from the stage as was possible without being outside the stadium. From there the guys on stage were tiny, but it was nice to be able to ake in the whole show at once.

Went to see them again last night, this time I was standing on the pitch. The atmosphere was a lot better, but I think that watching from the back the night before gave a much better impression of how good the show was.

The support was far better on Sunday too, with Shy Child, Biffy Clyro and My Chemical Romance, as opposed to Rodrigo y Gabriella, Dirty Pretty Things and The Streets.

Gate E row 507 for me.

Having travelled down from ISL to watch them from the pitch, I was in awe (and knackered after an extremely long drive. . . I know it's quicker to fly but I had my reasons). Did the sunday gig and made a whole day of it. Biffy Clyro were great in support and have booked to see them in Glasgow later this year. My Chemical Romance were bish but MUSE were awesome. Will be remembered as the best concert I've been to in the last 20 years and well worth the effort. . . . the last concert I went to was the Jam's farewell tour in the early 80's

I've always liked listening to MUSE, but it wasn't until I was given the "Hullabaloo" DVD for Christmas that I've seen what they are like live. Was this gig a one-off performance-wise or are they really that good, because I was gob-smacked. Does anyone know when they'll be touring the UK again?

Ask MingMong, he's they're press officer !! :PDT_Xtremez_31:
They are one of the bands on my "to listen to" list.
As yet, I haven't heard a song of theirs I didn't like. :PDT_Xtremez_28:

I actually saw a local band playing live in Gibraltar 2 years ago who announced that they were going to play a Muse song. I thought to myself at the time that it was a brave thing to do, but they played "Bliss" really well !!

The only time I have seen Muse live is at Wembley Stadium (both dates last year), but from what I have gathered from reading other people's comments on their own forums, that was pretty typical of a standard Muse show, but on a much larger scale.

As you probably know from a previous thread, I have seen a lot of live shows in my time. Muse is right up there with the best! They are not great crowd interacters, they tend to let their music do the talking, but their live playing is absolutely spot on and they always make sure that their show is a visual treat.
I don't know if they are planning to tour this year, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them pop up at a festival somewhere as headliners.

I would recomend them to absolutely anybody!

They are that good. They are better than that good. My limited vocabulary will not allow me to tell you how good they are live.

I saw Muse last year in Edinburgh and they were outstanding, one of the best gigs ive been to in a while. They played outside and the light show at dusk blew me away. Got in the pit it was messy. Good times. Good tunes.

They have been announced as one of the headliners at this year's V-festival, well worth a watch. They are one of the best live bands in the business today!

I might check the V-Festival out. Just read your report of Download last year, good stuff gonna check out this year too, the strong rumours about AC/DC headlining are floating my boat! :PDT_Xtremez_28:

Headliners are already announced for this year's Download. They are Kiss, The Offspring and Lostprophets. Unfortunately no AC/DC anywhere by the looks of it this year. But the 3 headliners they have ennounced are good enough for me to be getting a ticket. Especially The Offspring, one of my favourite bands!
