Now, i know I could be in for a bit of flak now, but.....me & the boss both love Neil Diamonds music & have an opportunity to see him in concert next year. The downside to it is the ticket prices £60 or £70 each.
Has anyone seen him live? Is it really worth that much? If it was just me, I'd pay, but it's 2 of us & then travel costs etc on top, you're looking at £250/£300 for maybe 2 hours of music.

Honest opinions please, not just people taking the pi55 out of my musical taste!!!!!

Can't beat a bit of Neil......one of the best.....I have never seen live but would love to......my missus would think me really sad so i would be going on my own...sorted !!

I would say go for it...he ain't gonna be around forever !

Crack on...............:PDT_Xtremez_09:

I saw Neil live in Bristol a few years back & I have to say it was worth every penny!!! The man is a master in showmanship & given the oppotunity, i would go back & see him live again.

Go & see him, He really is worth it!!!! :PDT_Xtremez_30:

I'd only go if he played stuff up to (and including) The Jazz Singer.

The man was God and, in his heyday, cool as fcuk.

But £250 and the risk of hearing some of his 90's tat is too much!

Mrs J has been a Niel Diamond fan for years and I was blackmailed into going to see him at the NEC Birmingham a couple of years ago.

Fekk me what a weird experience - I was surrounded by young scantily clad nyphos', geriatric purple haired grannies, a smattering of "normal folk" but there were deffo too fecking many blokes of suspect sexual origin wearing Lycra and sequins.

Musically his recognisable tunes are fine and he sure belts them out and everyone is on their feet. But fook he must smoke some really wacky backy on occasion either that or the atmosphere on Planet Diamond contains Hallucinogens because there are some real strange lyrics in some of his new gospel type stuff.

She'll be going with her mates to the next one
