New Army recruitment adverts

  • Following weeks of work, the E-GOAT team are delighted to present to you a new look to the forums with plenty of new features. Take a look around and see what you think!
Must admit - it might look a bit cringy... but if it gets people through the door.... you shouldn't be moaning. How many time have we had people on here saying they are short of people through recruitment targets not being hit?

Days of recruitment films like this bringing people through the door are long gone.

New Army recruitment adverts

Critics have said an Army recruitment campaign, which promotes the emotional support given to troops, will fail to target those most likely to sign-up.

They ask: "What if I get emotional?", "Can I be gay in the Army?" and "Do I have to be a superhero?"

These are all questions that PenguinsSuck needs to answer, because the RAF Regt have always been at the forefront of allowing Rocks to remain in touch with their caring, feminine side

Will it not, virtually the first thing that happens when a conflict kicks off is a, the twisted sock brigade go down and b, AFCOs get a huge spike in applicants wanting to do their bit.

Nothing wrong with targeting others, as long as these others are suitable for the task.

eh? so you are agreeing with what I said above then, because we are saying virtually the same thing but you seem to be saying it from a counter point.......

As a representative of the twisted sock brigade, I feel I should point out that for our true hardcore members, the sock remains firmly twisted regardless of whether or not there is a conflict in place - how else would we avoid stuff like the CO's Cup?

‘Right lads, we’re going forward to attack the enemy’.

‘Sorry Sir, can’t do that, I have to pray to Allah for an hour’.

‘OK, Pte Abdullah off you go’.

‘I can’t either Sir, I’m not quite sure of my gender today. Yesterday I was grey, questioning, non-binary, queer but today I think I might be just gay’.

Sighs, ‘Ok then Ms/ Mr/ Zee/ Zir/ Whatever Smith, put your high heel combat boots back on and skip off’.

‘Pte Jones, any problems with attacking the enemy?’

‘None at all Sir but can I have a little cry about it afterwards?’

‘Course you can Pte, there may even be hugs’.

Welcome to the modern Army!

Quotey thing not working ‘Right lads, we’re going forward to attack the enemy’. ‘Sorry Sir, can’t do that, I have to pray to Allah for an hour’.

Closer than you might think with students from another nation

'Right lads Friday afternoon in the workshop for 13.30'

'Sorry sir extra hours praying to Allah on a Friday we'll be there at 14.30'

Pretty sure there's a Monty Python 'marching up and down the square' sketch that resembles this....wasn't tied to sexuality or religion but I was instantly reminded of it lol

Just think of all the changes to the RCMs Drill Orders and Procedures..
No more "Fix Bayonets and charge"
It's now replaced by
"Kindly attach floral bouquets and dance gaily forth"...
