G'day all,
Found this site accidentally when looking for something else!

I left school at 15, and was a shop assistant for a year, then joined up as a Boy Entrant at Cosford in 1963. Served as a Teleg/TCC from then until 1987 (http://www.cjallen.co.uk/raf/).

Inland Revenue 1988-2002 (someone's got to do it!), and was a Leading Observer in the ROC, a Special Constable in the West Yorkshire Police, and a member of the WRVS (10 per cent of the membership are men), mostly driving meals-on-wheels.

Took early retirement in 2002 (couldn't afford it, but it was the best decision I've ever made), and in 2003 moved to Australia, spending about 4½ years there. I did a lot of voluntary work there too, being a skipper in the River Watch and Sea-bird Rescue Service, the skipper of a rescue boat in the Queensland State Emergency Service, and a meals-on-wheels driver on the Sunshine Coast. When it became apparent that I was not going to be able to stay permanently I bought a campervan and spent the next five months on the Great Australian Pub Crawl (http://www.cjallen.co.uk/gapc/).

Now living in Malta.

Welcome and enjoy the goat....sounds like you been having fun recently.....so how do you find Malta ? We stopped for a few days about 18 months ago and I loved it.

Welcome to the goat. Checking out your links it looks like you had the kind of RAF experience that peopl can only dream about now:PDT_Xtremez_14:.

I noticed a very youthful looking Dave Siddle in your TCC photo. I remember him as a Flt Sgt on TCW between 1988-1991. I believe one of the members on here was on his flight on the Wing (MP).

That's got to be about as youthful as he ever looked, even more disturbing, the guy on his left appears to be wearing my name :0
