So i've not put on my number 1 uniform since I was issued the new version, I think that was around 2001 sometime.

Long story short, the jacket doesn't fit (and no tailor in the world is going to make it fit) and I think I've lost the trousers.

So two quick questions.

1. Is the code the have on the label for the newer trousers different from the old no 1 trousers? If so, what is it? I've got a set here which I think are the old trousers but I'm not sure. Obviously if the code hasn't changed I'll be okay taking them in anyway.

2. Assuming I have lost them, how much will they bill me when I go for my fitting in January?

Jusy take what you've got into the tailors. I think you're entitled to a new one after about 6 years anyway. Anyone else know the current lifex of No1's?

Dunno but i had 4 (sets) over my life of 22 years and only handed in one set :-) Rest will be up for sale eventually along with all the other crap I got.

Crack on.....................:PDT_Xtremez_09:

The tailors won't touch it, they say I need a new set and it's not their job. Apparently the issue of new No1s is done by a contractor these days and they only turn up at Supply every few months, hence the appointment not being til Jan.

Sounds like it shouldn't be a problem though.

Remember No1s don't have belt loops so if you have a loopless pair and the material is similar to the jacket then take em along.
Dont know if you can claim off your kit insurance for them if they charge you? Take some biscuits cos you know what these suppliers are like!:PDT_Xtremez_28:
