Look at dabs.com as well mate. I find Ebuyer the best generally though.

I built my last one with bits from here.............

www.novatech.co.uk

The PC I wanted was £1499
I built it for £479

I kept the original tower case and HDD's, and replaced everything else.

I never rated the quality of the products he sold(parts/systems) and to be honest he was a **** to boot.

That might have been the case years ago but I think you'll find he sells mainstream products nowadays and I have to say there is never a problem with the odd return etc.

Yea logic is ok for stuff like hard drives and bits n bobs but im looking at building an intel based pc this time and he only has AMD stuff..

Get a motherboard/processor package from elsewhere then an use logic for the other stuff.

I havent dabbled in building a PC but i did buy a laptop from ebuyer last week.
Outstanding to be honest.
Ordered it online at 6.30pm Tues night, item delivered Wed by 9.30am.
A good deal as well. Much better specs than anywhere else for the price.

cheers for the responce guys, just going through some of those websites and i'm sure i'l be able to knock a few quid off the price!

Yup, have to agree with that in the main tho some of his stuff is still a bit tacky and 'budget' names. I've been buying stuff from him for the best part of 10 years.

Having said that, I got nearly all of my latest built PC (back in november) from Ebuyer: shopped around online checking like-for-like prices and they really were the cheapest overall. And quick. And RMA'd a set of RAM very quickly too (not their fault it was U/S).

As the search for parts continues i was looking at processors and thinking of getting an intel Q6600 GO but i see there are these fancy new i7 processors. Think it's worth spending the extra 100 quid for something a bit more future proof or with the quad core do me a cpl years?
