Hola, as we are now in a new financial year and pay rise, can anyone help me find out the new quarters charges type c and ciloct, cheers

How are the Quarters graded? I know you get A,B,C or D and 1234, but what do they mean? I've been trying to find out on the Station Intranet for ages, and I've tried google, no luck. I know I should already know this and a quick call to DHE would probably have solved it but it's just one of those things I never really get round to fully looking into.

That's the million dollar question, they have grading boards that not only consider the size and condition of house but accessibility to services etc. probably a JSP somewhere

A-D is the type (no of bedrooms). A=1 bed, D=4.

1-4 is the grade (standard), which not only takes into consideration the age and quality of your MQ, but also the location and surrounding amenities. This is the important bit!

A D4 is approx £70 per month, but a B1 would be about £200

Then facts and figures are (mostly) found in JSP 315 Scale 22

The link to all the SFA publications is HERE.

Some handy stuff there and it can save you spending ages on the phone to those chimps at the HIC.

They are currently re-grading AMQ's at the moment.............result is that many people are getting money back as they have been paying too much.

pleasant change :PDT_Xtremez_30:

Bit of a spotter on this so I apologise now.

SFA are graded use the 4 Tier Grading system. Whilst JSP 315 (scales) is useful, it is JSP 464 that contains all the rules and regs for grading a house. Have a look at Pt2 whihc shoudl describe how the lovely people on Stn should grade your SFA and how to challenge their findings!

Now for the ABCD etc.

You are allocated types of house base on rank and size of family. Normally, B types are 2 beds, C types are 3 beds and D types are 4 beds.

Once the grading board is finsihed, they will have a score for your house. This then determines what grade you are ie 1, 2, 3 or 4 with 4 being the lowest. When you look at the charges (see link above) you will need to knwo what type your house is and what grade it is. From this you can find out your charge.

Hope that helps, but JSP 464 is the way forward. If you have any specific issues feel free to PM.

Well, all I can say is, they should be paying us to live in the quarter we have here, not us pay them. It is the biggest sh!tpit ever & I can't wait to move.

Think MHS have already put a mark against the house address & labelled us as trouble makers!!!
