Hi All

I am new to all of this.

We have just be advised that we are due to move to Odiham in February 2010 and will be leaving in quarters on base.

I am due to have a baby in May and am very scared of the move and not knowing anyone or anything near. I dont even know where to start looking at what is around.

If anyone has any advice or help i would really appreciate it.

Odiham is a lovely friendly place, just like the Goat. No reason to be scared, you'll make lots of new friends and have fun. And what's more, Basingstoke is just down the road.....

We were in a similar situation when we came back from Germany - we were posted to Chivenor on 16 October 90 and my missus gave birth to our 2nd son on 22 November. We didn't know anyone there either nor the area and our relatives were all 300 miles north.
Worse was to come a month later when I was sent out to Saudi for GW1, I was gone 4 months but when I came back Mrs Wal had a good set of buddies and was able to show me around the local area.

Just bear in mind that you service wifeys are noted for your toughness, sense of humour and the ability to cope with the crappy conditions that us blokes force on you. You'll do fine and everything will come together for you - after all you're on here talking to us so you must have something about you :PDT_Xtremez_30:
