New uniform

Well since i am going to a hot sandy place in the near future been told we will get the new shiney uniform that is about to come out.

Whats the view of this from other stackers do you like or not, and will it really meet the role out date for all by Apr 2011? It goes well with my eyes so im all in favour!

And just a thought ,since it is a one colour does all will that mean there is a good reason to get rid of some clothing staff (Thinking SDSR), as it will mean less items on inventory?

You might find that if you are not going outside the wire, you won't get the new stuff. Even our FP boys only have 2 sets of the new and 2 of the old. Although the DIIN from last year said everyone deploying after Mar 1st would get it, the RAF policy is only to issue to those going outside. Might be worth checking.

BTW its a little heavier than DDPM so its a bit uncomfy when its hot.

I'm deploying in the next few weeks with 1 set of old with 3 (or 2 I can't remember)sets of new currently on demand.
(I'm not going outside the wire this time)
