Thanks to all who offered advice on New York. A good time was had by all, however, I refuse to talk about the lesbians.... I digress. I have a copy of the New York Time Out book that I got from ebay. It offers all the info you need on the city, where to go eat, shop, sh*t, drink etc. If anyone is off the NY and wants it (free) let me know and I can put it in the internal post, obviously official documents enclosed.
The SSMA club was basic but clean. Cost of rooms are based on rank, idea is to get the lowest rank to book as that is the id they will check on the way in. They put on free coffee and bagels, jam, butter, toast etc in the morning, all they ask is for a donation to their equivalent of help for heros but you don't have to. It has free internet and tv rooms. The rooms have air con all be it a bit noisy.
Anyone wants anymore info or the book let me know.:PDT_Xtremez_28:

Hi there mememe, if you have had no other requests I would love that book. I'm planning a NY trip either later this year or early next year.

Go on be cheesy and put some of your snaps on here.

Photos..f**k that, I wouldn't want to bring the site into disrepute..also, det rules! I suppose the one of my mate being taken away in the police car would be ok. Did I protest at this, no, I took a photo. Mates are mates. Also let's just say, I didn't know she was a lesbian until.....enough already.
PM your work address and I will put it in the post.

Cheers Fella, incidentally, Im thinking of booking the SSMA Club with a civilian friend, are they OK with that?

I'm struggling to get my head around the booking system on their website. Did you do it online or via telephone?

PM with details incoming....

Book on its way.
We booked the SSMA over the phone, the web site booking bares no resemblance to reality. They will take the 1st nights money from your card, incase you don't turn up. On arrival you will pay the balance. As long as you are booking the civvy will be okay. When you come back into the club at all hours make sure you have your ID as the night watchman may ask for it. Let me know where you are flying into and I can advise on the bus to get, don't go for a yellow or unsolicited approach. The bus will drop you at Grand Central station ($27 return) and it is a 5 min walk from there and really easy to find.
