Hey guys

being a newbie AC and all, I'm a bit crap when it comes to general trade knowlege, but heres my question anyway

3 types of tool right? Well I need some examples of each because I don't know about any of them yet

GP - I'm ok with these as I use them myself for a bit of DIY every now and then
STT - I can only think of the tool that does the crimping (a crimper??)
PTT - can't even name one :(

Please help with my pitiful question!

Thank-you :PDT_Xtremez_19:

I take it these are...

General Purpose
Special To Type
Presicion Termination Tools

???

Yeah those are the ones :D

You made a good educated guess on the General Purpose ones and got it in one (Tools which can be used in a variety of places and equipments)

Special To Type is pretty descriptive. It's not crimping though...

PTT - Wire Strippers, Wire Crimpers (Loads of types), Heat Shrink Gun.

STT - Test equipment falls into this category. AVO's, Robins, Oscilloscopes etc

Just like electricity - take the easiest course!

I think he should be commended for initiative!! :PDT_Xtremez_14:
