Good morning all, although I have never served in the RAF some family members have. John Hardman Batten was a second lieutenant in the RFC and died during training at RAF Shawbury in 1916.
My Uncle Harry was in the RAFVR in WW2 and received a mention in dispatches whilst serving in the fire section.
My brother Phil was an armourer on Jags at Coltishall and also served at Honington and Wyton.
I am interested in finding out more about my uncle's mention in dispatches, I have his service number if anyone could offer advice it would be very much appreciated.

Regards
Don

Thanks to both for your replies, my problem is that my auntie is still alive and will not help me as she says it is all in the past! I already knew that of course.
