Filthy Geordie Maggots, Smoggies went down too. I wonder what the town was like at the weekend.

Not a good time to be a phone box in the Bigg Market... :PDT_Xtremez_30:

But its a very good time to be a Sunderland fan!

I've waited so many years for today.....

Who took the toon doon? Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeera!

Hey no slagging off Tyneside. They won the Division, European Championship and lost the semi of the cup to Manchester Utd.

I then turned off PES 09 and went to bed :PDT_Xtremez_32:

MWD there will be other happy goaters this morning not least a certain Star Trek loving, ex-vulcan ground crew Mackem. However goaters like Albert Park and Ghandi's flip flop may be less pleased.

I can see this as a blessing in disguise for them. A season down below will give them chance to regroup, get rid of the dross, get a decent manager in and have the fans stop piling pressure on the players by going on about being this massive club, which as results show, they are not. However, they need robust leadership as of NOW to prevent the club imploding and doing a Leeds.

It is going to irritate the Geordies and Smoggies even more when the new season fixtures come out though. Sunderland home to Liverpool has a better ring to it than Newcastle away at Scnuthorpe or 'Boro at home to Donny Rovers.

Always one to look for a silver lining, with Peterborough promoted and the 'Boro' relegated I`ll only have a 10 min drive to watch an away match. Leicester not far either. Gutted tho, 3 years ago european final, and now ...

Oh, sorry. haha. Damn, did it again. ha.

Seriously though, it's gonna be a shame not having the real NE derby in the Premiership next season.

I don't really care about the derby, we won it this year at the SOL and cheated out of a win at Sid James's... the skunks being relegated more than makes up for no derby next season. There's always the cup anyway, who knows we might get the dream draw.

All the geordies I know are over the moon. Now for at least a whole year they've got something real to whinge about. Instead of the usual high pitched whining about they're supposed hard done by'ness. lol

You mean they aren't moaning about how they don't deserve to go down, and that the 8th biggest club in the world has a right to be playing in Europe?

A hat-trick weekend for all Sunderland supporters, the Black Cats staying up and the Bar Codes and the Smoggies going down.

Now I promise I won’t gloat (YES I WILL), I feel really sorry for Allan Shearer (NO I DON’T) and I won’t laugh (Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha) although I will miss the derby matches (NOT)!

However, a tip for all Goaters if you want to make some easy money, bet on Salven Bilic being the next Sunderland manager.

PS; Tin basher – bet you’re really happy about Burnley getting promoted!

Should have left big Sam Allerdyce in charge he was better than the rubbish that followed

Getting rid off big Sam - £5,000,000
Relegation from the Premiership - £60,000,000
Newcastle doing a Leeds - Priceless

Was so hard pressed wrt the gloating issue as i know a large number of both Magpies and Sunderland fans it was just a case of who to phone first:PDT_Xtremez_14:

With the likes of Lovenkrands' agent now going on about how his player should play top flight football - does he really think playing for the likes of burnley or birmingham is a better option than playing for Newcastle? madness.

At least Shola Ameobi will finally be playing at the level he is suited - does he secretly own the club or something? we keep paying him ACTUAL money and now we've pandered to his request of playing second tier football just so that he won't look so damn sh1te....
