Following on from the Indian chicken farmers ditching "big Sam" at Blackburn, Preston have today binned Fergie Jnr and Burnley have sacked Brian Laws. The mighty Stanley are fine as John Coleman has a contract until the next ice age. But how safe do you feel your teams manager is?

Contracts will never be safe as long as there are big cheque books to sign them off with.

Hodgson as to go. He was clueless tonight. You had mereliess moved to the right side to make way for gerrard who should have gone on the right side. We were rubbish. Get dalglish on board now.

The telly showed a "Rafa come home" banner in the crowd, what next??

I'd be happy for Liverpool to keep Hodgson or perhaps bring in Souness again.......:PDT_Xtremez_30:

Paul Dickov's doing well at Oldham. We've not lost any of our last 5 or 6 matches... mainly because they've all been postponed!:PDT_Xtremez_42:

However; considering the fact that we are currently 9th in division 1 and have about 2 - 3 games in hand we're doing well this year!

Comparing Dickov's performance to the two previous managers he seems to be achieving God like status here, so I hope his contract is safe!:PDT_Xtremez_30:

talking of celtic park, I see they still haven't actually punished any of the banner waving cnuts!

Guess they need their money:PDT_Xtremez_09:

Off TopicGem I thought you'd be in hiding after last nights 5-2 result at the city ground:PDT_Xtremez_14:Off Topic.

Souness should come with a wealth warning. No matter how much dosh you have he will spend it leaving you skint and with a less capable team than the one he started with. Heck in a league were a poor season is classed as finishing 2nd he didn't shine.

The Green brigade seated at section 111 of Celtic Park(responsible for the poppy protest)have been refused briefs which the they would normaly be entitled to as season ticket holders for the New Year clash against Rangers at Ibrox.

Investigations as to the individuals who were responsible for the protest are still ongoing.

I for one will be mightly p!ssed of if the dont eventually recieve life bans:PDT_Xtremez_32:

If they know who they are (to ban them from buying tickets for Sunday) then why haven't they been banned from parkhead yet? Maybe the ibrox ban is to remove the potential for the green brigade to ruin yet another minutes silence?

how long and how difficult has it been to identify and proscecute the so called Rangers fans that disgraced your club in Manchester, and thats a police enquiry..........notice i call them so called Rangers fans!.

Lets get rid of the bigots and idiots on both sides and get on with the football:PDT_Xtremez_14:

Roy Hodgson and Liverpool part company

Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has left the club by mutual consent.

Former player and manager Kenny Dalglish has been placed in charge until the rest of the season.

Bollox, you wait and see, they'll probably turn Utd over tomorrow!!!

The only thing that surprises me about Hodgson leaving is that it was left until today before the board decided to do the deed. The scenes on the (half empty) terraces during the Wolves and Blackburn games were agonising for this long time supporter to endure, but all the blame can't have departed in the car taking Hodgson away from Melwood this morning. Whilst the only time he's opened his mouth recently is to put his foot in it his playing staff have been dreadful too.
Many of the players need to take a long, hard look at themselves, because they haven't done the job they are being paid millionaire wages to perform. Johnson's defending has been woeful, his positioning and unwillingness to track players moving into dangerous positions is shocking. Skrtel has had a mare of a season and was to blame for Joey Barton's goal if not Carrol's as well at Newcastle. Torres has done the square root of feck-all, the sole exception being against Chelsea, Cole and Lucas often won't go for balls that are 60:40 in their favour, and Konchesky is just shoite regardless of which team he plays for.
The appointment of Kenny Dalglish smacks of desperation to me, FSG are virgins in the football world and have no idea who the personalities in the game are and hence what their options are. Many of the fans chanting his name during Hodgson's latter games weren't even born, or were little kids, when he walked out of the club after the cup exit to Everton all those years ago. They are carrying the starry-eyed dreams of their elders in their minds when they think he can just step back in and put plasters over all the wounds, bearing in mind he's been out of the game for over a decade.
Do returning mesiahs ever have the effect the supporters yearn for?
We shall see, we shall see.

You said it all my friend. Has a returning manager ever brought the past glories back. Kendall did nothing at everton when he went back.
