Hi,

Been lurking a while, you guys have made me nostalgic for the old life for the first time since I left in 96, but then I've been in Los Angeles for 10 years - not a lot of reminders crop up in daily life and I've lost contact with everybody now.

And it certainly seems like things have changed enormously since my departure. No more TACEVALS? I used to have a blast as a m/c courier at Wildenrath, grass tracking across the airfield and racing Tooms alongside the runway (in full NBC gear), and I still have a compo baby's head in a tin. It's stamped "92" on the top - wonder if it's still edible?

Anyway, I'm glad I found the site, even if it does make me acutely aware of being a KOS. I think I must have become a lot more liberal since I left. I've certainly mellowed more than somewhat.

Thanks for providing an excellent link to my formative years; I think it's prolly a lot tougher for you all now, what with all the blood and sand and stuff.

OK, back to lurking and sighing a lot.

I do my best to raise the tone of the place. :PDT_Xtremez_28:La La Land is pretty cool - most people you meet are from somewhere else, anyway. We're all strangers in a strange land here. The common language seems to be Broken English; as exemplified by the Governator, of course. It's a strange and wonderful place - every day is a new adventure. And everybody I know is as embarrassed about Chimpy McFlightsuit as I was about his poodle. :PDT_Xtremez_06:

But hey, fcuk it, the sun shines every day, my little convertible's got a V8 under the hood, I've got a steady supply of Golden Virginia by the kilo and a little shop that sells PG Tips only 30 miles away...

Life is good. Did I mention the sun shines every day?
