If your chosen trades are currently unavailable then consider coming back in late Aug when the trades should re-open. However, find out what you can about ASOp and Int An first in case you decide they do suit you after all. What were your prefered choices?

Well done on passing the AST.

The last thing you need is having more choice - last I remember you were stuck between Nurse and Admin!

My perferred choices were Pers and medic.

On my initial application form i had specified pers, Int An & ICT specialist, so i have been interested in Int An before today.

I am thinking about going for this, although the recuiting Cpl did say i could always go in as WSOp as I do have A-Levels. I have to call back tomorrow to let them know my decision whether to go as Int or as an officer

I am pleased to report that i passed enough on all scorces for both trades although my MM scores were not that good.

Well done.

Don't feel churlish about inputting how much "Moolah" you will make into the decision making equation. It offsets an awful lot of nobleness of vocation, after a while!

Without knowing your personality it's hard to give proper advice. However, I would aim as high as you can. You've got A Levels so consider WSOp, you'll be a Sgt on Flying Pay within a couple of years = approx £35,000 a year. You'd have to undertake the Non-Commissioned Aircrew Initial Training Course which is pretty demanding: physically and mentally and then your time would be spent either jumping in and out of helicopters or down the back of an airborne metal tube for hours on end.
Alternatively if you went Pers Spt you could always do that for a few years and then elect to go WSOp or get commisioned as a Pers Spt Officer
