Does any know what the nursing presentations that you have to attend entail and also anything about the specialist nursing interview and where that is?

Hi, im applying as a RMN but the nursing presentation is the same. Its simply an informal presentation. Gives you an insight into military nursing, what its like, where you could be based etc etc.

The specalist interview takes place at Cranwell (where you will spend two days i believe), you have to present to 3/4 other people who want the job/s and to the people interviewing you. I think after you presentation you are interviewed for 30-45 mins.
Im literally filling out my initial application form as we speak :PDT_Xtremez_19:

I didnt know we had to do a presentation, thats pretty scary :-( I thought i had been accpeted into the RAF and that was it, i also thought that they were crying out for nurses so theres a chance now after being accepted that i could be rejected? :-(

Its a very lengthy process. (dont quote me on all of this but....).
Firstly you have an interview at your AFCO, followed by medical and fitness test. If all goes well thats when you go to Cranwell. After all of that will you find out if you were sucsessful or not. For adult nurses your more likely to be accepted after all they need more of you than me lol.

You will need to demonstrate you are very keen. If I make it as far as Cranwell, can't say im looking forward to doing the presentation but its only for 10 mins and im sure everyone else will be feeling the same.

whoa im getting confused haha

The thing they have booked you on is that the Cranwell specalist interview or the (nursing presentation, where sit and listen, im assuming its not this as you usually attend this before any interviews)

My understanding is that its mandatory for nursing students whether RGN/RMN to do a presentation. I would also have thought that you would have been told this is what you had to do in order to prepare for one??

Have you dont you PJFT?

Well I def know that I have to and if I was listening correctly, bearing in mind i tended to switch of when it was in relation to the adult nurses. Im 99% sure they have to do it aswell. The reason being you are going in with the rank of Acting Corporal (junior manager in Civvie street as I was told at the presentation) therefor they need to see you are confident in doing this etc.
