Greetings all,

hairyback here, civvie I'm afraid but hopefully after a quick feel-up from the doctor and a dash on the treadmill in the coming months, that should all change.

They say brevity is the soul of wit, so I'll keep it short for now and just lurk around here in the meanwhile, until that fateful day when I tearfully wave goodbye to my mum at Halton. Moving stuff ;)

cheerio,
hairyback

I know the manning situation was bad Hairy Back but your avatar shows you aged about 80! Are things that bad?

PS You'll soon forget your mum when you feast your eyes on the new WRAFs there! Hint - get in early, to avoid disappointment in later life! :PDT_Xtremez_28:

No offence old timer. What are you joining up as?

Your not Silverback's offspring are you? Can the goat stand another couple of primates? Hello chap.

Who keeps saying that ?

OK, OK, CT I`ll stop now (LOL)

Hairy Back ... as in the warrior subject of the All Black "Haka" ?

Welcome M8, enjoy and beware the pennyless Sheepdog !

No, I called myself 'hairyback' because... well, have you ever seen King Kong?

Trade; I told a serving member (black tape over the eyes), and he replied "Now say it again in non-recruitment bull****".

But according to this printed sheet, I have plumbed for 'CIS Operator Mechanic (Qualified)'. At least I hope I have, because the whole selection exam went by in a bit of a blur. Darn memory tests.

That would be CIS Op Maintainer, with the possibility of becoming a CIS Tech in the future. I wish you luck my good man. As for (qualified) have you done much comms technician stuff before?

The A-Levels helped I think. I'll be covering all this in another thread in the 'Recruitment' section. Tea and coffee will be provided, phone me if you can't make it.
