Hi peeps
New on the forum, so a quick hi.
A little about myself, was suckered into joining the RAF by my mate who was at Leeming VAS and told me tales of tea drinking, early stacks and volley ball. So off i trotted to the AFCO and signed up as a Mech/Tech rigger rather late at the age of 22 after being a welder before hand. Basic training and 3 months at Cosford was eventually told that i wasn't actually a Mech/Tech but had actually signed up to be an SAC (T) DT_Xtremez_42: . I had no idea what this was and neither did my mates. Once i got onto an f3 sqn they hadn't a clue either (as i was only the 3rd one to arrive) but at least being an apprentice (no not that kind) before i joined up i got quickly used to making tea. Nearly six years on the sqn, one charge, 18 months as an unpaid CPL and i some how managed to get promoted. Not going to argue on how i got it but it was a little surprising, and i was told to pack my locker up and get into a hanger.
Now not being signed on as too much rugby makes my body fall apart. So preparing to do some courses and head off shore. Unless the RAF offer me that SPAR shop (at least i think thats what they mean by giving me SPAR for being an unpaid CPL)
Anyway thats enough about me as i might give away far too much DT_Xtremez_21:
