A quick bit of info if you please......
As it was bloody cold this morning, i thought i would dig out my old heavyweight blue trousers, i roned them and work them to work this afternoon(as its a sunday, theres generally very few people around). But what i would like to know is are we still allowed to wear these trousers? or do we have to wear the medium weight 'easy care'(a misnomer if i ever heard one)
cheers in advance

Serious answer.

Who studies trousers sufficiently to recognise the fact you are wearing heavyweights instead of mediumweights?

Who is going to fire into you because they have been having a good look at your genital area and they suspect you may be wearing trousers that were issued some time ago but are now superceeded?

Do you actually think anyone cares?

Oh-Oh.................

Is that the clippy clop footsteps of ILLBW I can hear coming ??

yes, there are people who:
a. can tell the different type of trouser at 50 yards
and
b. are sufficiently anal to pull you up if it isnt 'regulation dress'

Haven't you ever met the SWO? He's the nice chap who prowls your local unit in search of airmen who break the rules. It's widely believed he can tell the difference between painted and bulled shoes at a mile distance, so why the fcuk shouldn'the notice your trousers? :PDT_Xtremez_14::PDT_Xtremez_14:

If the CAS can wear a jumper thats not been standard issue for a couple years, why can't you wear heavyweight trousers!

Just wear them and see if anyone notices. If they do, just claim ignorance. To tell you the truth, I've been in 37 years and I don't know the feckin answer! Providing they're smart, I don't foresee a problem.

Ping

P.S. I presume you don't mean the really old hairy heavyweight ones?

Hairy-mary's?
They were ok if you shaved the inside.:PDT_Xtremez_31:

You could get a really nice crease down the front by cutting half way through the material with a razor blade then rubbing soap down the crease before pressing with the iron. Really good. Until it rained. Then I used to instantly treble my weight!

They were nice and warm in winter though.
